Alice D. Otterblad, 95, of Two Harbors, died Friday, November 29, 2019 at Carefree Living in Silver Bay.
She was born March 5, 1924 to Gilbert and Emma (West) Peterson in Two Harbors where she was a life-long resident. After graduating from high school in 1943 she worked for the D M & I R Railroad as a telephone operator for 12 years and was a homemaker through the years.
Alice was a member of the United Church, the Loyal Order of Moose, the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She was also a long-time member of the Knife River Valley Club where she and her husband, Kermit enjoyed dancing. Her other hobbies included knitting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit; brothers, William and Raymond “Tussa” Peterson; and sisters, Florence Johnson and Esther Nelson.
Alice is survived by a son, Larry (Joyce) of Silver Bay; a daughter, Linda (Ronald) Evans of Duluth; grandchildren, Susan, Rhonda, Andrea, Tricia, Jamie, Mark and Keith; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM service on Monday, December 9, 2019 at the United Church in Two Harbors.
