Alice Fransen

Alice Fransen, 90, of Two Harbors, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at her home.
She was born on November 14, 1926 in Knife River to Ernest and Minnie Rioux. Alice married Vernon Fransen in 1948, after his passing in 1963 she did not remarry. She was a homemaker through the years.
Alice enjoyed baking, cooking, canning fresh vegetables from the garden and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed reading, visiting with friends and long walks to the Two Harbors breakwater to feed the birds and watch the ships come in.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; and son; Carl “Buzzy” Fransen.
Alice is survived by daughter, Karen (Don) Schoenborn of Blaine, MN and Carol Viktora of Two Harbors; grandchildren Jason, Liz, Tonya, Melani, Luke, Jeremy, and Farrah; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and her dear friend and caregiver, Shirley Nichelson of Two Harbors.
Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Living Waters Fellowship.
