Alice Bergman

Alice L. Bergman, 94, of Two Harbors, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Ecumen Scenic Shores.
She was born on December 17, 1919 to Erick and Anna (Backlund) Force in Silver Creek Township. Alice grew up and attended schools in Two Harbors, graduating from Two Harbors High School in 1938. On March 13, 1943 Alice married Gothard Carl Bergman, and they made their home in Two Harbors where they were lifelong residents. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, and cross stitching.
Alice was a member of the VASA Lodge and the Women of the Moose.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gothard; son, Paul; son-in-law, Mike Grunenwald; and sisters, Signe, Florence, and Eleanor.
Alice is survived by daughters Joan Grunenwald and Sharon (Brad) Drace; daughter-in-law, Jan Bergman; grandchildren Jeff Grunenwald, Joel Grunenwald, Jenny Bergman, Janet (Carl) Freund, Amy (Cody) Suomi, Jacki (Tim) Rine, Adam Drace, and Lindsay Drace; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; and 5 nephews.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
