Agnes M. Larson, 100, of Two Harbors, died Monday, September 12, 2011 at Ecumen Scenic Shores. She was born February 4, 1911 in Bloomer, Wisconsin. At a young age she moved to Chetek, Wisconsin, where she grew up and graduated as valedictorian from Chetek High School. Agnes then completed one year of business school before working for Strutware, stretching nylon stockings. She married Jesse Larson and they were in the real estate and rental business for many years. Agnes moved to Two Harbors in 1946 and raised her family there. She was a member of Women of the Moose and enjoyed bingo, playing cards, going to the casino, quilting, and crocheting.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse; daughter, Dixie Marzak; grandson, Richard Jesse; brothers, Adolph, Richard, and Jim; and sister, Rose.
Agnes is survived by her daughters, Dena McGregor of California, and Dianne Baumgartner of Two Harbors; grandchildren, Monica, Marty, Bob, Marlys, Rhonda, Ronell, Rocky, Jodie, Winter, and Teddie Lynn; great-grandchildren, Robert, Corey, Stephanie, Andrew, Ethan, Brandt, Jasmine, and Mary Jane; and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be 1 PM Saturday, September, 17th 2011 at Cavallin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery.
